Welcome to the Business Continuity Planners Association
Since 1994, the Business Continuity Planners Association (BCPA), based in Minneapolis-St. Paul, has supported business professionals with a non-profit, mutual benefit association for those participating in business recovery, crisis management, emergency management, contingency planning, disaster preparedness planning, or a related professional vocation.
The
mission of BCPA is to provide a professional and educational environment for the exchange of experience, dissemination of information, professional growth, and for added value of mutual interest to the membership.
BCPA membership is open to any and all professionals interested in the vocations identified above, or related vocations. To join the BCPA, please click on the Join BCPA Online tab on the left side of this page.

Members will be assessed annual dues, payable upon receipt of invoice from BCPA. Members will be informed of the uses of these dues at least annually. Dues may be pro-rated on a semi-annual basis to bring a new member into the annual billing cycle.

2011 Continuity Insights and KPMG LLP Business Continuity Management Program Benchmarking Study
You are invited to participate in this year's Business Continuity Management Benchmarking Study, presented by Continuity Insights and KPMG Advisory Services. Participate in our benchmarking survey and gain valuable information for your BCM Program. More than 30,000 business continuity professionals benefited from the information presented in the previous comprehensive benchmarking report. This is your opportunity to share your perspective in determining the answers to some of today's compelling and critical business continuity questions.
A summary of the results from this benchmarking study will be published in the April 2012 digital issue of Continuity Insightsmagazine, with the full results published in a special print edition in May 2012. The results will also be presented at the Continuity Insights Management Conference, April 16-18, 2012, in Scottsdale, AZ.
The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. To ensure that you receive a free copy of the results, please complete the survey by January 27, 2012.
Survey participants will be eligible for one of two full-color Kindle Fires. Winners will be randomly selected and notified within 30 days of the close the survey.

Student Membership, Internship
Did you know that the BCPA has a special, discounted membership fee of $25 for full time students? Please see the link "Join BCPA Online" for more details.
In 2010, the BCPA has began a student internship program for the board. The purpose of the internship is to advance the BCPA risk management and social networking initiative while giving an area university student experience with professional board leadership. At the October 13, 2011 meeting, the board confirmed Jeffrey Cook as the new intern on the board. Jeffrey is a senior at the University of Minnesota pursing a degree from the College of Liberal Arts.
